These wonderful volunteers collect food and clothing, serve food and build shelters for those who spend the night.
Who are the homeless of Superior/ Douglas County?
They are the men who sleep by the train tracks and need to run down the tracks in the middle of the night to generate body heat so that they can jump back into their sleeping bags and not freeze.
They are women and children sleeping in cars because they needed to escape an abusive home.
They are the middle age couple living in a city park who are mentally challenged and who assist a young man who is even more challenged and also homeless.
Volunteers are needed to spend the night or work a few hours.
Local residents and businesses are encouraged to stop by and make a donation.
Free food and beverages will be served.
Whether you donate money, food, clothing or time - you can make a difference to someone who needs a helping hand right here in our community.
